On May 23, 2024, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Ismatullo Nasredin received Ambassador of Canada to the Republic of Tajikistan (with residence in Astana), Alan Hamson.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the current situation and prospects of mutually beneficial relations between Tajikistan and Canada in political, educational, agricultural spheres, as well as on regional issues, and expressed readiness for their further expansion.

On August 8, 2023, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin received the Canada’s Special Representative for Afghanistan David Sproule.

 

 

 

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the current situation in Afghanistan, as well as Tajikistan’s efforts to strengthen the border and combat terrorism, extremism and drug trafficking.

Britaniyanın “The HALO Trust” qeyri-kommersiya təşkilatı və Kanadanın “Mines Action Canada” (MAC) aparıcı şirkəti Britaniya Azərbaycanlıları Koordinasiyası Şurasının ölkəmizin azad olunmuş ərazilərində Ermənistan tərəfindən yaradılmış mina təhlükəsi barədə müraciətinə cavab verib.

 

 

 

 

“The Halo Trust” təşkilatının baş direktoru, ehtiyatda olan general-mayor Ceyms Kauenin və MAC-ın icraçı direktoru Erin Hantın adından Britaniya Azərbaycanlıları Koordinasiyası Şurasının idarə heyətinin üzvlərinə ünvanlanmış məktublarda icmamızın 15 iyul 2023-cü il tarixli məktubuna görə minnətdarlıq bildirlib.

 

 

 

 

“Siz minaların humanitar fəsadları ilə bağlı narahatlığınızı bildirirsiniz. Humanitar təşkilat kimi HALO imkan yarandıqca hər yerdə və hər zaman yerüstü minaların və digər partlayıcı qurğuların və sursatların təmizlənməsi ilə məşğul olur. Biz minalardan zərərçəkmiş bütün icmalar üçün daha təhlükəsiz və firavanlıq arzunuzu bölüşürük. Şübhəsiz ki, “HALO Trust” hakimiyyət orqanları arasında, o cümlədən BMT vasitəsilə regionda partlayıcı çirklənmənin xarakteri və yeri haqqında məlumat mübadiləsinə yardım edəcək. Mənimlə əlaqə saxladığınız üçün sizə minnətdaram”, – deyə baş direktor bildirib.

 

 

 

 

Azərbaycanda mina təhlükəsi ilə bağlı mövcud durum barədə məlumat verdiyi və bu məsələ ilə bağlı fikrini bölüşdüyü üçün Britaniya Azərbaycanlıları Koordinasiya Şurasına təşəkkürünü bildirən Erin Hant qeyd edib ki, Kanada hökumətinin dəstəyi ilə MAC artıq bir neçə ildir Cənubi Qafqazda minaların təmizlənməsi prosesini müdafiə edir.

Bu müdafiənin 2021-ci ildə uğurlu olduğunu vurğulayan icraçı direktor bildirib ki, tezliklə bu fəaliyyətin yenidən uğurlu olacağına ümid edir. O, əlavə edib ki, şirkətləri Azərbaycan Respublikasının Minatəmizləmə Agentliyində (ANAMA) çalışan azərbaycanlı həmkarları ilə sıx işləyir.

 

 

 

 

Erin Hant nəzərə çatdırıb ki, bu ilin may ayında MAC adından Bakıya səfər edib və II Beynəlxalq humanitar mina fəaliyyəti konfransına qatılıb. Bu konfransın Bakı və Ağdamda keçirildiyini vurğulayan kanadalı mütəxəssis yazıb ki, mina təhlükəsinin Azərbaycanda icmaların həyatına təsirini görüb və bununla bağlı öyrəndiklərini Kanada hökumətinin və parlamentinin rəsmiləri ilə bölüşüb.

Chairman of the State Committee met with Canadian MFA’s parliamentary secretary and the CEO of “Pace Law Firm”
Within the framework of his visit to Canada, Fuad Muradov, chairman of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora, met with Robert Oliphant, Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Canada.

 

 

 

 

 

Parliamentary secretary was informed about diaspora policy of Azerbaijan, the activity of the Committee, 50 million Azerbaijanis living in more than 70 countries of the world. It was mentioned that following on the recommendations of the President of Azerbaijan, strong relations have been established with the Azerbaijani communities abroad, including our compatriots living in Canada.

It was emphasized that modern Azerbaijan, a leading state of the South Caucasus, has entered a new stage of its development and large-scale reconstruction works are being carried out in the liberated lands.

It was highlighted that Azerbaijani people want to establish lasting peace in the region.

Robert Oliphant highly appreciated the integration of the Azerbaijani diaspora into the Canadian society. Parliamentary secretary has told that Canada supports Azerbaijan’s internationally recognized territorial integrity. Robert Oliphant positively assessed the works done by Azerbaijani community in Canada for raising the image of their historical homeland.

The Committee chairman expressed hope for the further development of the bilateral relations.

The next meeting was held between Committee chairman and founder of “Pace Law Firm”. Al Pace, founder and head of the law firm, gave detailed information about the legal services provided by the company. It was emphasized that the company founded in 1981 has more than 160 lawyers working in five offices and provides services to clients in more than 38 languages.

 

 

 

Mentioning that he is originally from Lithuania, Al Pace spoke about the activities of the Lithuanian community and his company’s support to the start-up projects of the Lithuanian youth.

The Committee chairman gave detailed information about diaspora building and integration of the Azerbaijani community members onto the local society. It has been highlighted that members of the Azerbaijani community abroad are mainly engaged in trade and contribute to the economy of countries of residence. The meeting focused on the elimination of the integration-related problems and cooperation perspectives.
