On December 8, 2023, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Mr. Farhod Salim received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Türkiye to the Republic of Tajikistan Mr. Umut Acar.

 

 

 

 

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on the current and prospects of development of bilateral and multilateral relations, cooperation within the framework of international organizations, as well as other issues of mutual interest.

On October 23rd, 2023, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Mr. Farhod Salim received the copies of Credentials of the newly appointed ambassadors of Mongolia to the Republic of Tajikistan (with residence in Astana) Mr. Dorzh Bayarkhuu, of the Republic of Philippines to the Republic of Tajikistan (with residence in Islamabad) Mrs. Maria Agnes Maglasang Cervantes, of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to the Republic of Tajikistan (with residence in Astana) Mme. Pham Thai Nhu Mai, of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea to the Republic of Tajikistan (with residence in Moscow) Mr. Sin Hong Chol, of Switzerland to the Republic of Tajikistan (with residence in Astana) Mr. Salman Bal.

 

 

 

During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on current state and prospects for development of relations and other issues of mutual interest.

 

 

 

 

The Deputy Foreign Minister congratulated the Ambassadors on their appointment and wished them success in their diplomatic mission in Tajikistan.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the development of cooperation between Tajikistan and the United States within the framework of USAID programs in areas such as the economy, agriculture, medicine, education and environmental protection.

On 1 June 2023, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Mr. Farhod Salim met with the Head of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Mission in the Republic of Tajikistan Mr. Mulugeta Zewdie.

 

 

 

 

 

 

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on important aspects of cooperation between Tajikistan and UNHCR, particularly assistance to refugees and other issues of mutual interest.

 

 

 

 

Due to the end of M. Zewdie’s mission as the Head of the UNHCR Office in Tajikistan, the Deputy Minister expressed gratitude for the work carried out and wished him success.
