On August 30, 2024 an online meeting took place between First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ismatullo Nasredin and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Yalchin Rafiev to discuss Tajikistan’s preparations for the 29th United Nations Conference of the Parties on Climate Change (COP29), which will be held in November in Baku.

During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on organizing high-level events focused on water and glaciers within the framework of COP29.
